Spring Awakening

A Play based on the Original Work of Frank Wedekind

THIS SHOW IS RATED PG-13

Silhouette of a girl holding a butterfly and blowing it, with a tree, flowers, and leaves around her, and the words 'Spring Awakening' by Frank Wedekind at the bottom.

Edward Bond's brilliant adaptation of Wedekind's original work examines the youthful tragedy of awakening sexuality in an atmosphere of repression.

It was heralded by TIME magazine as one of the best plays of the year, and applauded by Mel Gussow of the New York Times as "a major theatrical event. ... A perfect play for a young company."
